Frøya Ventures and Care Norway: Bridging Capitalism and Idealism for Global Gender Equality

Frøya Ventures and Care Norway join forces to strengthen gender equality by increasing the understanding and acknowledgement of the growth- and value potential women represent globally.

“We look forward to our collaboration with Frøya Ventures due to our shared ambition of putting women and girls at the center of development and value creation. Achieving gender equality is not only the right thing to do, it pays off financially.  If we enable and promote women, it is positive on an individual level, but also carries significant benefits for the communities they are part of. When women are heard, societies become more sustainable» says @Kaj-Martin Georgsen, Secretary General of @Care Norway.

As a starting point, the parties will collaborate on communication and events related to mutual areas of interest within the topic of gender equality, including female entrepreneurship and unleashing the potential inherent in women’s knowledge, capital and work participation. As the partnership matures, additional opportunities and joint efforts will be explored.

”A partnership between a venture capital company and a humanitarian organisation may at first glance not seem like a natural fit, but the walls between capitalism and idealism are coming down; as more and more people realise that the only way to drive sustainable change is to put capital behind it “says founder and managing partner @Åshild Hanne Larsen, who has been the main architect behind this partnership from the @Frøya Ventures side.  “We are very pleased about this collaboration and look forward to putting our common values, ambitions and ideas to work to make a difference together.”
