Call to Minister of Trade, Mr Vestre!

As of today, female entrepreneurs in Norway receive between 1-2% of venture capital. It has to change!

Frøya Ventures has sent input on the founder notice. We finally had an opportunity to tell the Norwegian Minister of Trade, Industry and Fisheries which measures Frøya Ventures is proposing to help more start-up companies succeed and the importance of government capital for female entrepreneurs.

As of today, female entrepreneurs receive between 1-2% of venture capital – it’s a very serious societal problem! Frøya Ventures has also contributed to the sprint ahead of the input meeting.

The minister noted as you can see diligently during the post, but repeats some of the points for safety’s sake: Norway must set some goals when it comes to closing the capital gap for female entrepreneurs, we need requirements for the public capital to drive change, more capital as a seed fund and venture capital for female entrepreneurs.
