A Catalyst for Change: Industry Icon Ingrid Sølvberg joins Frøya Ventures as General Partner

With over three decades of leadership in the energy sector and a proven track record of driving innovation and transformation, Ingrid brings invaluable expertise to our team. Known for her strategic insight, deep industry knowledge, and unwavering commitment to supporting women in leadership, she strengthens our mission to back bold founders building a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Frøya Ventures is happy to announce that Ingrid Sølvberg has joined us as a General Partner. With over 30 years of experience from the energy sector, Ingrid brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to our team.​

Ingrid’s career includes executive roles at Equinor, Centrica Norway, and Vår Energi, as well as serving as Director General of the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. Her expertise spans executive leadership, strategic development, organizational transformation, and innovation. She is passionate about the future of energy, technology, people, and driving positive change within organizations.​

Ingrid is widely recognized not only for her industry insight and strategic acumen, but also for her unwavering commitment to advancing women in leadership. She is a strong believer in lifting others as she climbs, and has consistently used her voice, influence, and experience to open doors for the next generation of female leaders.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ingrid holds board positions with several organizations and is also the Managing Director of her consultancy; Silver Mountain AS. Ingrid holds a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a Specialization in Technology Management from NTNU and NHH Norwegian School of Economics.​
